Press the button and rotate main command dial until (delayed remote) or (quick response remote) is displayed in the control panel.

Aim the transmitter on the remote control at the infrared receiver on the camera (usually within+/-30 degree of the lens axis, from the left to the right and from the top to the bottom) and press the shutter release button on the remote control (when using the remote outdoors, make sure that the subject is not backlit and that the line of site between the transmitter and the infrared receiver is not blocked by the lens or other obstacles).

This remote is perfect, light, and easy to use. The package came pretty quick, and was ready to use right out of the box. It's literally as easy as to point and click. There are no settings to mess with other than the ones on you're camera. The remote itself consists of just 1 button and a battery. The only thing I don't like was that it didn't come with an extra battery, but for 5 dollars compared with most of the other camera remotes costing about $30; I can't really complain. Good buy, would recommend it for anyone else who is looking for a good cheap remote.

Operates my Nikon D90 perfectly, just need to aim straight at the camera while standing in front of it, doesn't work from the side or behind the camera. To use it efficiently, set the camera to remote + delay timer which allows a 2 second delay after you press the remote, this allows you to lower your hand down so you don't look like an idiot pointing at the camera while taking the picture. Easy!!

Bought on 15th, received on 21st. No shipping info furnished, broad delivery range quoted. Delivery was at short end of range. Came in a small box. Unit is very small, should have ordered a couple for the price I paid. Seemed like it did not work, no instructions. Looked on Nikon website for Nikon's version (I have a D5000) and found you need to go into the camera's Menu, Custom Settings, Release Mode. One of the selections is a very small picture of the remote with 2s next to it(two second delay), and the next is a very small picture of the remote with nothing next to it (immediate fire). You must pick one of these, or set up a delay timer (another one of the selections) and pick it. This unit is IR (infrared, you must aim directly at the sensor), the sensor is on the front of the camera, just below the "picture taking" button. Therefore, you must be in front of the camera. Would be nice to have another sensor behind, as I want to use for extended exposures, not wanting to shake the... Read more
